Last Thursday my girls flew to Houston and we celebrated our annual girls weekend! We became friends in Ann Arbor while our husbands attended University of Michigan Law School. If getting through law school together doesn't bond you...I don't know what will. At graduation we all vowed that we would take the time at least once a year to get together and so far we have! They arrived Thursday night. Friday we enjoyed a facial, dining out and shopping. Saturday we went to the Kemah Boardwalk down by the coast. Sunday I dragged them all to 8:30 church after staying up until 2am, plus the time change...yea, they love me. Late Sunday afternoon it was time to go home. I already miss them.
Windy day on the boardwalk. We ate mexican, rode the crickety wood roller coaster (thanks Katie), enjoyed some hot chocolate....oh...and did some more shopping.
Last year everyone (except me) was pregnant and this year we got to enjoy the new babes. Amelia Love Anderson & Eden Rojas. They are both perfect angels all weekend and were content to listen to us all talk talk talk, go a few places and oh yea... and talk some more. This year...I got to be the tired pregnant lady.

Loved the trip. Love you. I NEED a new haircut..why didn't I employ all of your skills?! That was a missed tradition...not even a hair dye!
You girls are darling. How fun. It was fun to see photos of you all together, though I especially would have loved to be a fly on the wall for part of that. I'll bet there was some serious laughter. I miss you all and think it's fabulous you can make something like that work out for each other. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like fun. Girls weekend out. Yeah, I'd say after Law School you all deserve at leat one weekend a year together. Since when did you spell your name Emma Lee? Some friend I am, I didn't even spell your name right. I don't think that I am weekend worthy :)

s- I have had a few people ask me that. The real spelling is not Emma Lee...it is a nick-name/spelling (if you will) created by Weston. I have a ton of friends named Emily so I just changed it for fun.
btw- you would always be weekend worthy! Anytime baby!
a- Yea, what is up with that? I thought for sure we would whip out the scissors or dye on you...you are the only one that has enough faith & fun to let us practice on you! (Giggles) I am suddenly having a "kurt cobane" (sp) vision. ;)
p- If the fly would not be offended to PG-13 and occaisional digression from that point. I am sure it would be entertaining.
Wow!! Looks like a fun time in Texas. Way to keep the bonds growing strong. Just seeing the pictures and reading the comments makes you feel like we're all back in Northwood together again. I hope everything is going well with the pregnancy.
Wow...I just had a flashback from Northwood! It's fun to see you all together again. I'm sure you had a blast and enjoyed every moment together. When did Katie move to Vegas??

Katie & Matt moved to Vegas last summer. He has been clerking for a federal judge there. They will be done this summer and will move back to Phoenix when he is done. Well, maybe...he has been interviewing at some firms in Colorado too. We'll see. -Em
You guys make me happy just seeing you. I am glad you keep your friendship strong. I have always been impressed at how you take care of each other. I am glad that distance doesn't stop that. True friendship is something to be cherished. I love all of you and miss you. Life isn't the same here in Northwood!
